Wellness and self care are very important of therapist, especially EMDR therapist that are working every day with extreme suffering and trauma stewardship. Self care is not negotiable for therapists. One of the most useful practice to center and be calm is yoga, that include conscious movemenfs of the body, mindfulness and breath. Effectiveness of yoga for wellbeing is today recognised by scientific studies.
Simona Anselmetti is a EMDR Psychotherapist, Consultand and Facilitator, Yoga Teacher RYT500 and Trauma Sensitive Yoga Facilitator and Trainer. She is integrating her practice as a psychotherapist with yoga both for her personal selfcare and to help patients reconnecting with their bodies.
Simona will offer a yoga practice during EMDR 2023 Congress in Bologna to help therapist to center theirselves in present and open. Practice will be dynamic with the focus on shoulders, but oriented to the possibility to listens to bodies and make choices about poses, breathing exercises and intensity.
No previous experience in yoga is necessary, neither a mat but only comfy clothes.
